Why does my case keep being placed back into self-resolution?

For TDS to accept a case for formal Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) we must first see all attempts at resolution have been exhausted.

You can either do this by updating your repayment request or tell us what you have done so far.

Either the lead Tenant or Agent/Landlord can tell us what they have done by:

  1. Click on “Update Repayment Request”
  2. Click on “It has not been possible to reach any further agreement”.
  3. When asked if you have discussed the matter with your agent/landlord, select “Yes”.
  4. In the text box, tell us what you have done to attempt to come to an agreement, and why it therefore has not been possible.
  5. Submit these comments.

Once your self-resolution deadline has passed, a Resolution Executive will review all responses and if they are satisfied you have done all you can, they will accept your case for formal ADR and the case will enter evidence collection.
