As of today, the Dispute Service is proud to be working in partnership with Complylex, the online compliance-based platform for estate and letting agents. Together, both organisations are committed to helping property professionals navigate complex industry legislation and raise standards in the Private Rented Sector (PRS).
Property law can be confusing, even for property professionals. To help, the Complylex platform has been designed to provide concise, accessible information on property law presented in a way that is easy to understand. The tool was created by a team of property professionals who came together with a mission to demystify legislation and give their fellow professionals a simple and affordable way to comply with the legal requirements governing their sectors in England and Wales.
“I am delighted that Complylex has entered into a promotional agreement and will be working in partnership with the Dispute Service. I think our two businesses complement each other perfectly by promoting the ethos of good practice within the estate/letting agency and landlord arena. Complylex will now have an added layer to its existing Sales, Lettings and Covid-19 content, with a Landlord Only bundle subscription which clearly sets out the obligations for landlords” said Executive Chairman of Complylex Michael Stoop.
Endorsed by legal professionals, the platform can be utilised, as and when needed, much like a resource or guide. Notifications can also be set-up to alert subscribers of legal updates by email, to keep users up to date on the latest regulations which can be crucial to remaining compliant on all legislation changes.
“The Dispute Service has always been committed to raising standards in the PRS. There is a huge amount of legislation and regulation around lettings that can cause confusion or prove difficult to find. It is essential that agents and landlords stay well-informed on legal changes to avoid compliance issues and penalties. Up to now, that has not always been easy,” commented Steve Harriott, CEO at the Dispute Service.
“Complylex is an essential tool for the property professional in that it provides all the relevant legislation and regulations in one place, in a language everyone can understand. We are confident that Complylex will help to improve standards in our industry and are pleased to be working together to raise awareness of legal issues,” added Steve.
The working plans will bring benefits and discounts to new and existing members of both the Dispute Service and Complylex:
